WHISPERS HEARD IN THE TIME OF THE SHADOWS



** 1.26.01 **

   TOS has moved to a new server.  Don't worry, Ash is still employed :)

   It has been moved to a new dedicated server.  The address for TOS is now

   shadow.fantastyk.com 4000.



** 7.18.00 **

   TOS is on an improved machine with a dedicated connection.  It will soon

   have a 100Base connection and a Pentiam 233MMX processor.  The address for

   TOS shall remain as shadow.csc.edu for the duration of Ash's employment

   at his current job.



** 3.27.99 **

   TOS is now on a dedicated server.  It is an older and slower machine than

   we were previously using, but the playing port is the only thing running

   on it, so we hope to be able to track down the memory leaks and bugs that

   we couldn't find on the other machine.  Because of the limited resources

   on this machine, the Test port, FTP server, and WWW server are all on a

   new machine.  The address for that is edwn1111.csc.edu



** 3.1.99

   We now support MSP which stands for Mud Sound Protocol.  You will need a

   MSP compatible client to hear the sounds.  You can get one from your

   website on the clients page.  Mud Master (Beta version only) and ZMud both

   support MSP.  You will also need to download tos.zip and extract the wav

   files into your sound directory.

   The commands REALTIME, DATE, and MACHINETIME are in!  Now instead

   of actually having to take a break from mudding to peek at your windows

   clock (or a real clock), you can catch what time it is, in good old Mountain

   Standard Time (+1 hour from Pacific Mountain Time [California], -2 from

   Eastern Standard Time [Mass.])
