The Administration will not tolerate any infraction of the rules or

policies of TOS.  Players/characters will be punished by methods such as

freezing, deletion, and site banning as deemed necessary by the Admin.  Do not

tempt fate by seeing "how much you can get away with"; it will lead to severe

disciplinary action.  It is the responsibility of all players to know the rules.

Lack of knowledge of a particular written rule or policy  will not save a

person from the consequences of their actions.  See the Handbook for more info.



SECTION I - CHARACTERS

   Limited Multiplaying is allowed on Time of Shadows due to the small

database.  A maximum of 2 characters may be logged on at the same time

by one person.  A link-dead character is considered to be logged on.

Although you may multiplay, grouping will be ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to

survive in most areas.  You may, however, own as many characters as you

please.  Be warned that it is illegal to delete characters before level 5

in order to gain better stats, collect gold, or abuse bugs.  You may use

the reroll command at level 5 to gain better stats.

   At no given time will a mortal and an immortal belonging to the same 

person be allowed to log on at the same time.

   The Administration of Time of the Shadows fully encourages and supports 

a role playing atmosphere (see handbook for more details).



SECTION II - HARASSMENT

   Player killing, attacking, and thieving is not allowed.  The only

time pkilling can legally occur is during an Arena match which only

a god can set up.  

   Verbal abuse or harassment outside the Arena will

not be tolerated.  Profanity will not be allowed over public channels

under any circumstances.

   The first person to enter a room has claim to killing the mobs in

that room.  If you "steal" the kill from the person with claim, they have

the right to choose one piece of your equipment.  Get a GOD or higher to

help you if a problem like this occurs.



SECTION III - BONUS POINTS

   Bonus points are rewarded on a regular basis to the first person who

reports a bug, typo, or idea that is used.  Abuse of bugs will lead to

severe disciplinary action and/or freezing/siteban. Bonus points have various 

uses such has raising stats, corpse/eq retrieval, getting extra practices.

They may be trasferred between immortals and mortals at a rate of 2 for 1,

but may not be moved between mortals.  (see help file for more details)



SECTION IV - EQUIPMENT & RENTING

   Equipment, gold, or experience lsot due to a crash will not be

reimbursed by the gods.

   It is illegal to drop link to avoid the rent limit (30 items)

or losing keys and other unrentable items.  Your character will

be force rented within 90 minutes costing you twice the normal

price for rent.



SECTION V - MISCELLANEOUS

   Advertising of any nature over public channels, bulletin boards,

and etc will not be tolerated.  Player will be frozen and/or sitebanned.

   



   Read the Handbook for a complete listing and explanation of the

rules and policies of Time if the Shadows.  Questions may be posted on the

boards, or asked of any immortal.  Do not assume if someone else is doing it 

that it is permissible.  It is the responsibility of all players to know the 

rules.  Lack of knowledge of a written rule (one in the help files, wizhelp, 

handbook, or posted on a board) will not save a person from the consequences 

of their actions.
